AVIOSPACE was founded in 2004. The Company is located in the Business Research Center of the Polytechnic of Turin. The corporate network of collaborations includes SMEs, Universities and Research Centers. In January 2010, Aviospace was bought by EADS Astrium Space Transportation - European leader in the construction and installation of commercial carriers – but It remaining an Italian company with local staff and management. The previous activities ranging from composite materials doped to nano-system programs for the development of lunar lander or elements for thermal protection for re-entry vehicles. The business is currently developing in order to include the whole field of transportation and life support in space through the support of dedicated infrastructures.

Company/MESAP synergy
Aviospace operates in the following fields : Technologies R&D, Design, Studies and Space Systems. In the R&D fields are under way projects with Nanotough and TOP for nanotechnologies (customers: FP7 and Regione Piemonte); Sesamo for the composite materials’s health monitoring (client : European Defence Agency) and FLPP for innovative avionics technologies (customers: Astrium ST and ESA) Design: Aviospace is a partner of ASA (Advanced Structure Assemnly, customers : TASI and ASI) Aviospace know-how can be integrated in MESAP for remote operating robot systems, in complex systems’s monitoring, health management and also for the exploitation of local resources supporting exploration missions.
